Host a Screening
Welcome to the Waking the Sleeping Giant Store!
We are excited to make screening kits available to community groups, activists, teachers, and others who want to share and use the film to inspire or provoke your members, introduce an audience to local organizations doing great work, or in some other way help fuel the movement for a better, fairer, and more just America.
We've kept the cost of the screening kit as low as possible while still enough to cover our costs (licenses for the music in the film, duplicating DVDs and Blu-ray discs, shipping discs for screenings, etc.).
You are welcome to screen the film for free, to charge for tickets, or to use the showing as part of a fundraising event. You then keep whatever you earn from ticket sales and whatever you raise during the event!
- Community Screening Kit & License ($150) - covers a public screening
- Solidarity Option Community Screening Kit & License ($250) - covers a public screening and helps subsidize lower-cost screening kits for classrooms and free screening kits for low-income communities
- Classroom Screening Kit ($50) - covers a classroom screening
- Educational Screening Kit & License ($300) - covers unlimited screenings hosted by an educational institution
- Add Filmmaker Participation via Skype ($100) - typically a post-film Q&A
- Add Filmmaker Participation - in-person (depends on time and travel costs) - often combined with other activities (e.g., participating in classes)

Waking the Sleeping Giant offers a powerful opportunity to inspire and reflect on moving forward with your neighbors and community members, and it offers a powerful vehicle for students to engage on social movements, the relationship between social justice and economic populism, and the complexities of this particular moment in American politics.
